The show will go on! We are currently seeking Breed and Best Doe in Show Sponsors as well as show volunteers for Secretary and Ring Stewards. Please reach out if you are able to lend a hand!

ADGA Judges

Location:  Enumclaw Expo & Event Center (King County Fairgrounds) in Enumclaw, Washington

GENERAL RULES:

  1. This show is sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). ADGA rules shall govern.

  2. The Junior and Senior Doe shows are separately sanctioned. The Buck shows are single sanctioned.

  3. Base date for class entry calculation is May 22, 2021.

  4. The original registration certificate is required for all animals six months of age & older. Stamped duplicates may be used for animals less than six months old, valid for 30 days from date of issue.

  5. No dogs allowed inside the Livestock Barn.

  6. This show is part of the Washington State Goat Breeders Association's (WSGBA) annual events.

  7. SWWDGA, ADGA, the Enumclaw Expo and Events Association (EEEA) and WSGBA will not be held liable or responsible for any damage, loss, injury or illness to persons, animals, or property in connection with this show.

  8. Any exhibitor behaving in an ill-mannered way toward their animals, other exhibitors, judges or the show committee will be asked to leave.

  9. Due to Covid-19 precautions, concessions are not available on-site. Multiple fast-food restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores are within 5 minutes of the facility.

  10. No pre-show milk-out. Exhibitors are reminded to monitor their does’ udder health and relieve them appropriately throughout the day.

  11. Substitutions are allowed within the same breed only. No refunds of entry fees. Unused camping fees are refundable.

  12. Milk must be disposed of in designated areas. No dumping of milk down any drains inside the Livestock Barn.

  13. Fairgrounds will be open at noon on Friday 5/21/2021 for early arrivals. Enter at Gate #1 on facility map.

  14. All animals and exhibitors must vacate the fairgrounds no later than noon on Sunday 5/23/2021. Camping fees apply if staying overnight until Sunday.

COVID-19:

State of Washington safety protocols will be enforced. All doorways will remain open to allow airflow. Multiple hand washing stations & sanitizer will be available. No spectators or vendors allowed. Maintain 6’ social distancing when able and cloth mask wearing (covering both the nose & mouth) is required at all times when social distancing is not possible. Please be understanding, we can not host a show at this venue without your cooperation!

ONLINE ENTRIES:

Online entry form and payment via PayPal are available for your convenience. We encourage you to use the online option to reduce close contact at check-in. Online entries will close at 5:00pm PST on May 21st. If you wish to enter the show after May 21st at 5pm you will need to bring the printed entry form and payment to the show. Please visit  https://www.showman.app for online entries and show information. 

MAIL-IN/EMAILED ENTRIES:

See form at the end of this document to fill-out and. Entries must be postmarked by May 15, 2021 at 5:00pm. Late entry fees apply if postmarked or emailed afterwards due to manual entry by staff.

ENTRY FEES:

$3.00 Herd Fee for each herd unit. $8.00 per animal, per ring for the 1st 7 goats, $6.00 for the 8th goat and up if postmarked/online entered by May 15th. Late fees: $10.00 for all entries if postmarked/online entered after May 15th – PENS ASSIGNED FOR PRE-ENTERED GOATS. As a SWWDGA member, the Herd Fee is waived and you will receive $5.00 off your final total. You must be a current, paid member as of April 15, 2021 to receive this benefit. Entry fees must be received before entries will be posted. NSF or returned checks will be charged an additional $30.00 and showing privileges will be suspended until fees are current.

 

PEN FEES:

Approximately 95, 5x5ft, chainlink pens are available and will be assigned in order of payment of entries. Cost is $10.00/pen that includes kiln dried shavings. If straw is desired, bring your own. Due to limited number of available pens, please be considerate and avoid using a tack pen. Aisles will be wide apart to promote social distancing.  Pen cleaning is required before departure. Want to hire pen cleaning? An additional $5.00/pen cleaning fee option is available and can be paid at check-in. Cleaning of pens and areas adjacent to trucks/trailers must be deposited into the designated dumpster. Plan to bring forks, shovels, carts or tarps to assist you in cleaning pens. A ramp will be available to make depositing debris into the dumpster if you only bring a tarp & not a wheelbarrow.

 

CHECK-IN:

Registration papers must be checked prior to the show. Check-in will close at 8:00AM for the first rotation. Check-ins must be completed within 20 minutes of all other breed rotations.  Late entries will need to be entered into the show 30 minutes before that breed shows.  Please check-in Friday evening to avoid waiting in-line on Saturday morning.  Facemasks are required to be worn at check-in, the raffle table and inside show rings at all times.

HEALTH CHECK:                                              

Will be on the honor system. Exhibitors will be asked to remove any animal that has been found to be ill and/or contagious. These animals must be placed in their vehicle or trailer away from all other animals competing in the show.

SHOWING OUT OF TRAILERS:                  

YES, setting-up pens outside your trailer is allowed. $35/night dry camping or $45/night electrical hook-up fees apply. You must clean-up your area before leaving or be invoiced a $45 cleaning fee by the facility.                 

RAFFLE:                                                               

Tickets will be available during the show. Donations appreciated.

 

CAMPING/PARKING:                                  

Parking in designated areas only. No parking around the Livestock Barn for fire/emergency access. Overnight camping within the grounds IS ALLOWED for a fee. Dry Camping at $35/night, electrical hook-ups (no water) are available at $45.00/night. Full camping (electric, water & sewer) is available at the adjacent campgrounds (no goats allowed). Contact: https://www.enumclawexpo.com/rv-park to make offsite, full-service camping reservations. NOTICE: If showing from your trailer, you must clean-up your area before leaving. The Enumclaw Expo Center will have employees on grounds verifying number of overnight camping and will charge the show for each on-grounds camping and charge a cleaning fee if necessary. If not showing from your trailer; trucks & trailers must be parked in the parking lot immediately north of the Livestock Barn. See facility map. 

YOUTH SHOWMANSHIP:                            

Showmanship will begin promptly at 8:00 am. No charge for youth showmanship. Please enter at the check-in table. Prizes will be awarded.

ORDER OF SHOW:                                          

The show order IS subject to change. Circus style rotation; judges & secretaries will move to the next ring, each breed remains in their ring. The ADGA Junior Doe Shows follow Senior Doe Best in Show, the Buck Shows will begin immediately after Junior Doe Best in Show. See chart below:

FAIRGROUNDS ACCESS: From Hwy 410, turn right (south) onto 284th Ave SE, pass Enumclaw Stadium on your left. Turn left onto 452nd ST (Gate #2) parking lots will be on your left and the fairgrounds on your right. Turn right and enter the grounds at Gate #1.
